Flooring Installation — South Jersey, NJ

The Details Matter

Flooring Contractor in South Jersey, NJ

New flooring changes a room faster than almost any other renovation — and bad flooring installation shows just as fast. Gaps at the seams, uneven tiles, laminate that creaks and shifts, grout lines that crack before the year is out. Legacy Contracting does flooring right: proper subfloor prep, proper layout, proper installation. Hardwood, luxury vinyl plank, tile, laminate — we've installed it all across South Jersey and we stand behind every job.

Whether you're replacing worn-out carpet, updating outdated tile, or putting new floors in a whole-home renovation, we handle the project from start to finish. One crew, one standard.

Flooring Types We Install

The right material for every room, every budget

Hardwood flooring is the most durable option for living rooms and bedrooms — solid or engineered, site-finished or pre-finished. It adds real resale value and gets better with age when properly maintained.

Luxury vinyl plank (LVP) is the best choice for most South Jersey homes right now. It's 100% waterproof, handles the humidity, installs over almost any subfloor without extensive prep, and the quality products are nearly indistinguishable from hardwood. It's what we recommend for kitchens, basements, and any space with kids or pets.

Tile flooring is the standard for bathrooms, laundry rooms, and entryways. The installation is more labor-intensive but the result is a floor that will outlast the house.

Laminate is a cost-effective option for bedrooms and low-traffic areas where budget is the primary concern. It's not waterproof, so we don't recommend it for basements or bathrooms — and we'll tell you that upfront.

Frequently Asked Questions — Flooring

What's the best flooring for a South Jersey home?

+

For most South Jersey homes, luxury vinyl plank is the best all-around choice — it's waterproof, handles humidity well, and holds up to kids and pets. For main living areas where you want the highest resale value, engineered hardwood is hard to beat. For bathrooms and kitchens, porcelain tile.

Do I need to remove my existing flooring before installation?

+

It depends on the product and the condition of the subfloor. LVP can often go over existing flooring if it's flat and structurally sound. Tile almost always requires removal and fresh substrate. We assess the existing conditions during the estimate and tell you exactly what's needed.

How long does a flooring installation take?

+

A typical room takes one to two days. A whole-home flooring replacement usually runs three to five days. Tile work takes longer because of setting and curing time. We give you an accurate timeline upfront.

What South Jersey towns do you serve?

+

We serve all of Camden, Gloucester, and Burlington counties — Cherry Hill, Haddonfield, Moorestown, Mount Laurel, Marlton, Voorhees, Medford, Washington Township, Sewell, Mullica Hill, Haddon Heights, Runnemede, and surrounding communities.

Well done guys. Thanks for the friendly service and saving not only my deck but my house. Would absolutely recommend Legacy to anyone looking for quality work done right.

Fabulous job. Very detail oriented and efficient. The crew was professional from start to finish and the final product exceeded expectations. I would not hesitate to recommend them.

Great work and the final product was beautiful. They communicated clearly throughout — we always knew what was happening and when to expect the crew.

Great service, super friendly. They treated my home like it was their own — that's exactly what you want from a contractor. I'll definitely use them for other jobs in the future.

Great group of people. Never had a bad experience. Hired them twice — both times the crew showed up on time, worked clean, and left the property in better shape than they found it.

Experience was refreshingly informal — the team kept things casual and clear. No sales pressure, no runaround. They quoted it, built it, and it looks exactly like we discussed.
